REALIZE YOUR TALENT
The Site Quality Manager reports to the Site Director/General Manager and maintains a strong functional reporting relationship to the Corporate Operational Quality Manager. The main functions of the role include ensuring the operational quality performance of the site to meet internal business requirements and external customer standards, as well as promoting a culture of high performance for all products and services.
Defines and deploys quality control plans for all activities on site (i.e. control plans, quality assurance plan, visual management dashboards, etc.)
Deploys, enforces and supports problem resolution methods, and supports teams in problem solving methodologies such as root cause analysis, 5 Whys, fishbone analysis, pareto charting, etc.
Manages operational quality performance at the site and analyzes associated data to define action and improvement plans with stakeholders
Supervises, leads and promotes the site Quality resources to carry out their mission
Participates and contributes to performance reviews of the site activities (APU, R&D, others) and supports the activities by monitoring and controlling key metrics (COQ, NQC, ppm etc.)
Contributes to the improvement of products and services by implementing best practices and improvement tools; leads steering meetings and quality projects within defined scope
Collaborates with key internal personnel on customer audits and manages responses to non-conformances related to operational quality; oversees responses to critical customer complaints
Manages plans for process/product audits and work station reviews
KNOW THE REQUIREMENTS
To comply with export control regulations (CUI), must be a US Citizen or Permanent Legal Resident
Bachelor's Degree in related field
5 years of applicable experience including exposure to ISO9001, AS 9100, or similar
Demonstrated prior experience in product quality systems and projects; has previously used a variety of continuous improvement and problem-solving methodologies
Experience using SAP or similar ERP system for entry and analysis of operational data helpful
Not eligible for remote work, must be able to commute to Wallingford,CT office (no relocation benefit provided)
Travel up to 15%
