The Product Marketing Manager is responsible for the vision, business development and marketing roadmap of the Radiall Oregon - Timbercon fiber optics product line. This position entails driving the company's worldwide profit and market strategy for this product range.
We're looking for a responsible, articulate, and motivated Product Marketing Manager who can define and promote our product offer working with cross-functional and international teams. The successful candidate will have a strong technical background and will be responsible for creating a product offer that meets the needs of our clients and brings innovation and unparalleled capabilities to their technical teams.
A day in the life of a Product Marketing Manager:
Support customers (internal and external) with good technical knowledge of products' performance and industry trends
Collect market intelligence, analyze product's features, identify opportunities and risks.
Define the product's value proposition taking into account market trends, customer needs, and industry standards
Manage product line: product type, packaging, service, pricing, validation of opportunities for new design, forecast, product lifecycle
Make products' improvement plan: evolution of product and technology, cost reduction initiatives
Organize and support marketing activities: content for product launches, catalogs, databases, website, advertisement, and exhibitions
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including customers, sales, engineering and suppliers
KNOW THE REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in related fields; Technical degree and related product marketing experience is highly desirable
5 or more years of relevant work experience (require at least 5 years of product management experience, with 2 years or more specifically in Fiber Optic)
People Management experience is a plus
To comply with ITAR, must be US Citizen or Permanent Legal Resident
Strong working knowledge of Marketing Analytics
Understanding of current product standards and performance levels
Knowledge and experience in defense markets, different application environments and technologies where products will be used
Business development experience
PMP training/certification and exposure to DAU helpful, but not required
Must be able to reliably commute to the work site in Tualatin, OR - relocation not provided
Up to 30% travel may be required
Full-time onsite at Tualatin, OR office
