Your Mission

POSITION SUMMARY

The Quality Engineer plans and coordinates activities concerned with maintenance of quality standards. This position entails receiving and analyzing discrepant material or claims and processing all documentation. They also ensure the quality standard of the company and products produced by the company.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Set daily priorities and receive rejected or returned parts/components to determine conformance to quality standards and disposition 

  • Analyze product and determine ownership

  • Compile and input documentation into the database and SAP system

  • Review quality problems with  appropriate managers, obtain appropriate signatures and direct actions required in order to correct defects 

  • Formulate and implement test methods and procedures for determining case and disposition of discrepant material

  • Work with groups to determine root cause and corrective action to nonconformities 

  • Prepare periodic and special reports concerning claim activities, problems with customers quality systems, and rejected items

  • Maintain proper document control on all claims - update, verify, and maintain a database of all internal defects (PPm metrics) and external (customer returns)

  • Review DMR reports and update with dispositions, comments, and any issues from meetings

Specific Job Skills, Specialized Knowledge or Certifications 

  • Work with others to review and solve problems diligently using RCCA Analysis 

  • Ability to follow specific design instructions 

  • Conduct an audit or diagnosis

  • Propose solutions to optimize processes, product, and tools

  • Ability to monitor and control a process to ensure it is efficient in producing conforming products (SPC)

  • Knowledge of quality standards (AS9100)

  • IPC experience 

    • IPC 620

    • IPC 610

    • J Standard 

  • ERP experience 

    • SAP

  • Knowledge of how to apply processes (PDCA)

  • Understand how to identify and minimize risks within the manufacturing process (FMEA/Control Plan)
